"Cricket has given me so much, and I want to pass on my
passion of the game to as many youngsters as I can."
Andrew Flintoff

My son Daniel had an absolutely brilliant time on AFCA and we would all like to thank your team for their professionalism and kindness throughout the week.

Harry had a great time at the cricket academy thanks! It has really helped him improve and have more confidence with cricket at school and club.

I have to say we were very impressed by your team of coaches. It was superbly organised and your everyone was brilliant. Thanks again.

Thanks to all at the Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy for such a well organised event at Sherborne. Adam really enjoyed his course and developed his game considerably. The week was capped nicely by the visit from Freddie himself which caused much excitement.

My son had a fantastic week at the Flintoff academy, made extra special by a visit from the man himself!

Once again the enthusiastic coaches made it an extremely memorable week and we will no doubt sign up for our 3rd year next year.

What is the Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy?

The Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy is a fun filled week of cricket coaching, games and activities. Each Academy features a Star Visit from either Andrew Flintoff himself or another International Player who will pass on coaching tips that helped them reach the top.

Freddie visits as many Academies as he can and other players to visit recently include James Anderson, James Taylor, Mark Ramprakash and Alex Tudor.

All Academies feature the unique 'Freddie Challenges' as well as small sided games, Cricket Olympics and our famous World Cup Day.

Come and see for yourself why AFCA is the UK's largest and favourite independent coaching organisation.

Who is AFCA for?

AFCA is for boys and girls aged between 5-16 years old. Whether its your first experiences of cricket or you are a representative player, you will have fun, improve and be challenged on the Academy.

The Freddie Juniors (5-7 year olds) have their own programme which establishes the fundamentals of cricket and sport in general. We understand the different needs of this age range and this is reflected in the curriculum which has shorter sessions, cricket related skills in a wider context and the need for high and lower intensity activities.

Our Freddie Seniors (8-15) enjoy learning new skills in all cricketing disciplines of batting, bowling and fielding. Our themed sessions encourage a focus on achievement with plenty of opportunities to put skills into action through small-sided games and middle practices.

AFCA Details

Players are grouped based on age, ability and experience and are assessed on the first morning of the Academy to make sure that they are challenged to the appropriate level. The AFCA coaching programme is designed to build on natural talent and unearth future stars based on the fundamentals that made Freddie the great England and Ashes hero.

All our staff are ECB qualified and DBS checked. All staff also go through our in-house training to deliver 'The Freddie Way' which is certified by IIRSM.
